FAQs
Where do you get the supplies to create your birdhouses?
We have sourced supplies from all over Canada. Some of our most recent wood is from an old tree at the University of Calgary and tin from an old house in Manitoba.
What birds live in these houses?
A verity of birds live in these homes, like swallows, chickadees, finches, swifts and other small birds.
What was your inspriation?
After selling our farm and moving to Calgary, we wanted to create something to bring the wildlife into the city. And that was birdhouses. Wanting to create something local, we were able to source barn wood, antique pots, saws and more. Now we created homes for small birds!
Do you ship outside of Calgary?
YES! We ship anywhere in Canada.
How do I clean them? And how often?
It varies between each home. The majority of birdhouses have a few screws on the top or back of the house, you can then unscrew to clean out. Making it easy and accessable. Some have a lid you just need to open! Once a year in before spring is the perfect time to clean the birdhouses.
How do I hang my birdhouse?
As each home is unique some have a photo-like hook where you just need to screw a screw into the fence or a wall. The homes with a saw just need a single nail to hang onto.
